By taking on and training apprentices within the company, we ensure a steady supply of up-and-comers for the future. Since the mid-1950s Miba has trained apprentices very successfully at its Austrian sites; and we are now also setting up schemes for training apprentices in-house in Slovakia.

Miba pursues a zero-accident strategy. Safety standards within the company are boosted on an ongoing basis via investment in modern, safe systems, optimum utilization of machinery, ergonomic workstations and clean, tidy workplaces. Consciousness-raising activities alert employees and apprentices to potential risks, and workplace safety programs oriented to specific types of activity are provided. In return, employees are committed to cultivating an awareness of safety issues and taking their own responsibility for workplace safety.
