Miba Friction Group produces friction materials, which are key performance elements in clutches and brakes in motor vehicles and machines. They are used to optimize speed and power. Miba Friction Group is involved in ongoing development work, which means customers are offered high-end products tailored to the application in question.
New Technologies Group
The two manufacturers of power electronics components, EBG and DAU, form together with Miba Automation Systems, producer of special machinery, the New Technologies Group. Resistors, which are one of the power electronics components produced by Miba, are used in frequency conversion and power transmission. Miba resistors can be found, for instance, in the high-voltage electronics of modern medical equipment or in the power electronics of frequency converters in wind turbines. Heat sinks and heat pipes are further power electronics components. They dissipate heat loss from electronic components and are found in drive train control units, electric power supplies, energy transmission systems or wind turbines.
