Miba Gleitlager GmbH, located in Upper Austria's Salzkammergut region, is a development partner and producer of high-quality engine bearings. The Laakirchen site – where Miba was originally founded by Franz Mitterbauer in 1927 – is also group headquarters. Engine bearings have been produced at Laakirchen since 1949. Today, the site is home to advanced systems, and particularly over the last few years major investments have been made in boosting capacity and upgrading production systems to maintain high technical standards.
