Miba Frictec GmbH in Roitham is a development partner and producer of high-quality composite and sintered friction materials. The site is also home to Miba Friction Group's R&D operations, which include a full-scale development lab and extensive testing facilities. Solutions for customers naturally undergo thorough testing prior to series production. The result: Products with optimum friction coefficients and wear-resistance, produced via novel methods using innovative materials.

Miba started production of friction materials in Austria in 1975. In the period to 2003, Miba Frictec was located at the Vorchdorf site. To accommodate ongoing growth, the Roitham plant was set up and went productive in 2004.
