Partnership with NIO Formula E team extended

After a successful collaboration in the past year, Miba AG and the NIO race team once more join forces for the Formula E Gran Prix. The “ABB FIA Formula E Championship” is the first purely electric, international race series. One fact that makes these races unique is that the races are held in the inner cities of the metropolis around the globe. NIO and Miba will collaborate in two races this spring, in Sanya (China) and in Rome (Italy). Therefore, the racecars of the two NIO pilots Oliver Turvey and Tom Dillmann will receive a special Miba branding. Moreover, Miba employees will have the chance to be hosted by NIO at the races including exciting insights to NIO´s garages there. One STEM student chosen by Miba at the annual Miba Innovation Challenge Day will be invited to the NIO site close to Oxford to work closely together for one day with the team there.

Miba already offers a broad range of products for eMobility

Not only that Miba is an important strategic partner in the automotive industry for conventional drivetrains the company also is already offering a wide range of products in the eMobility sector already. The Miba company EBG provides their high power resistors which are used in NIO´s electric cars and by numerous other customers as well.

“Miba Automation Systems” develops and produces machinery for the assembly of stators for electric motors. Another highlight regarding Miba´s innovations is a current EU project together with AUDI to develop new, digital and smart cooling components for the batteries in electric cars.
