Former Zollern bearing sites to be renamed

Miba and Zollern have successfully launched a joint venture in the plain bearing business on October 1st, 2019, whereas Miba takes on the industrial leadership.

The following 3 companies are changing the company name and registration with immediate effect:

  • Zollern BHW Gleitlagertechnologie GmbH & Co. KG to be renamed in
    Miba Industrial Bearings Germany Osterode GmbH & Co. KG

  • Zollern Transmissões Mecânicas Ltda. to be renamed in
    Miba Industrial Bearings Brasil Ltda.

  • Zollern BHW Gleitlager GmbH & Co. KG to be renamed in
    BHW Plain Bearings GmbH & Co. KG


Increased capabilities

The objective of the Joint Venture is to combine the strengths of Miba and Zollern bearing business. By combining the expertise in research and development, the Joint Venture companies can make an important contribution to the development of new solutions in decarbonization and renewable energy, e.g. new bearing technologies for wind power turbines.
