How high quality and tight tolerances are achieved with powder metal steering parts

• Homogeneous density distribution across all segments of a powder metal part allows high precision and strength.

• In addition to the material specification according to standards, we set even tighter tolerance limits for the chemical composition of the powder.

• We control the powder transfer during pressing with a multi-stage rotating tool to produce helical powder metal parts.

• Key parameters are monitored directly at the systems.

• Simulations support the tool design.
