EUR 10,000 for the Casa da Criança Jesus de Nazaré
Every year, Miba supports a social institution at a Miba site. For the first time, this year’s support went to a Brazilian aid organization in Indaiatuba, Brazil. Rather than giving Christmas gifts to customers and partners all around the world, Miba is making a donation to the Casa da Criança Jesus de Nazaré day care center located in the same city as Miba Brasil. Miba assumed full ownership of the Brazilian sintering site in 2017.
The center provides families in need with social and educational support, allowing them to achieve a better quality of life. On one hand, parents can work longer hours and thus increase their earnings, and on the other, children have the opportunity to learn and practice, providing them with a good education and helping them to escape poverty. Today, the center cares for 250 children ranging from four months to five years of age. Miba’s financial support will help to purchase much needed strollers for the younger children.
Values in action
Social responsibility that Miba assumes for its environment starts with high-quality, environment-friendly products and extends well beyond that. In addition to sound cooperation based on mutual trust with communities and authorities, the Company places a high value on constructive dialogue with its neighbors at all sites. Apart from that, Miba focuses its activities primarily on children, youth and the disadvantaged. Their support is considered to be the most significant and valuable investment in the future of our society and the Company. This Christmas, Miba is therefore making a donation to a Brazilian day care center where great work is being done.
The donation check for EUR 10,000 was presented to the Casa da Criança Jesus de Nazaré organization on December 13.
